Membership in claypool

Claypool offers an ongoing membership which provides access to the studio's facilities for professional and amateur potters, ceramicists and sculptors working in clay.

Our members will be given priority for master classes and workshops.

Hours:

The studio is open to members between 8am and 9pm seven days a week.
Between 10am and 4pm daily at least one of us will be in attendance and happy to help with any studio questions.

claypool equipment includes

  • Wheels
  • Slab roller
  • Extruder
  • Plaster moulds
  • Some tools available for throwing and hand-building
  • Work tables

Pottery tools, stoneware and porcelain clays are available to purchase.

Price: $390 per quarter
Includes:

  • Use of communal equipment and glazes
  • Personal shelf for storage - approximately 120cm x 40cm
  • Technical advice
  • Profile on claypool website
  • Exhibition opportunities
  • Free wi-fi

Daily drop-in
Price: $30 per day

Glaze firing fees

  • Members - $10 per kilo and $30 per kilo for jewellery
  • Non-members and daily drop-ins - $15 per kilo, $22 per kilo for slip cast pieces and $60 per kilo for jewellery
  • Individual kiln hire is also available to the public

Prices include bisque and glaze firings.

Private lessons with Deb Taylor or Cherie Peyton are available from $60 per hour.
